I was wondering if anyone came up with an elegant solution to secure a dog door without breaking the bank. Hopefully something that will lock the dog door instead of using the little pin that they give you.

A pic of the style of dog door you have might help. Never considered one since I heard the first hand story of a guy waking up with the neighbors 8 foot boa constricting his leg in bed. It got in through the dog door.  I have a cousin who lives in an apartment complex. A few years back, one of the neighbors had a BOA get loose IIRC. As best I can recall, it got into the pipes and came up in her bathroom. Long story story short, she freaked out, ran outside, slipped on the ice, and broke her arm.

Well here goes it's my first post but I got one of these in my house.

I know if somebody wants to get in they will but then again that is what the Bulldog is for and then me with the guns. |
