After learning about them on this thread, I ordered a set of the Rifle Rods and Handgun Hangers last week. As soon as they arrived (just a couple days later!), I installed the Handgun Hangers. I must say, they're awesome! I'll be installing the Rifle Rods ASAP.

...grease, 3-1 oil, motor oil, saliva, WD40, Urine, CLP, Slip 2000 and Vagisil will all keep the gun running. However, Urine smells, and some of the other stuff doesn't last long. -Pat_Rogers

It is wedged into two load bearing walls and bolted to the floor with four 3000psi shear strength heavy duty masonry anchors. Full it only weighs 332lbs. I thought it was heavier than it is, I really want a Smith Security Safes pistol safe; which is pretty much one of the above, cut in half, for my bed side gear. But they cost more than this full size did. http://www.smithsecuritysafes.com/ Built right here in Ohio and they're good guys, if you are in the area, you can go up and check out their business. I'm guessing that there are a few resellers who simply slap a different logo on the door. I'll post pics later today, I've never really taken any good ones. |
