Has anyone noticed Sig jacked their prices way up. Still making the same outdated 516 and 716. I remember 2 years ago a 516 could be had for $1250 and the 716 was going for $1400.

Now some 716 are going for $2200 and the 516 are 15-1600. It's like Sig did it overnight. Guess I don't understand. It's had to cost them a lot of sales. Who would pay $2200 for a 716 ?

That wouldn't be due to sig, that would be due to dealers increasing profit margins

Not sure. It seems like after one of the shootings a year and a half ago, Sig decided to crank the prices up. Cause their 716 was not even selling at $1500. There was probly 80 of them on gunbroker.

Then one day they are all $2200. Hmmm. Sigs loss, not mine. I went with a Pws for $1800. Which is a better rifle anyway.

That's a lot of conjecture.

Have the MSRP and dealer pricing changed at all?

Otherwise this is far from technical.

I have an older 716  and I paid around 1699 for it 4 years ago. I just purchased a Windham Weaponry SRC 308 18" and think it is by far a much better rifle. Weighs 8.05 LB with 18" barrel.
