I see your new on here, but lots of info posted on that subject already if you just search for it here under Sig Rifles. You don't need to make another thread on the subject.

Gen 1 has steel parts on the left side of the chamber that like up to make an L shape, on the Gen 2 gun its somewhat of an offset T. Also, I have not seen any commercially available Gen 1 with keymod rail. If you have a keymod rail, chances are likely its a gen 2.

The play between the upper and lower receiver is normal.

A picture of your gun on the left side would really help us.  Yes the play is normal.  Go shoot it!  It's a fun gun!

I  can,t  figure  out  how  to  post  pic,s   when  I  said  bout  the  mag  being  loose   I  was  talking  about  when  the  mag  is  in  the  mag  well  it  has  a  bit  of  movement

My Gen 1 has a bit of movement in the magazine when inserted. Very small. Has not affected reliability.

If it is new and has a Keymod it is likely a Gen 2. It if doesn't have the Keymod, check the bolt as described above to be certain.

How  hard did you look? There are approximately half a dozen that's on the Gen 2 MPX, including a thread with about a hundred pictures of a Gen 1 and  Gen 2 compared.

check the 1913 rail. If  the ridges  are flat its a gen 1 if they are concave, its a gen 2
