I've had one for a little over a year. Probably 800+ rounds through it. No problems at all. I've mounted a Leupold AR Mod 1 scope (1.5 X 4). Very accurate. Used a variety of mags, USGI, P-Mags, Colt 20 round, again no issues.

IMHO, this will fill your need nicely.

As for the optic, I was a dumb ass when I bought this as I didn't know about the illuminated reticle option. I've been thinking about swapping this out for an Aimpoint PRO.

I have one, and it works fine. Not much more to say.

Its essentially a generic AR. At least it's a quality generic AR above some of the other common consumer brands.

Lots of people like the features of the lower,  plus it has an extractor support in the extension. You'll probably never need that though.

Get an Aimpoint PRO and rock on.

Had one that had trouble reliably running lighter 55gr .223 loads like PMC Bronze and American Eagle.
It ran 100% on all 5.56 ammo and heavier than 55gr .223 ammo.
After a bunch of testing I ended up drilling the gas port a tiny amount and it has been 100% on all ammo since then.

I have one set up similarly and have had no issues with it to date. I would like to run it hard one of these days and get the heat up on it to see how it handles, maybe one day. Since I put a LW 14.7 together the M400 , along with a few other AR's , seem to be neglected.

Buy with confidence , but check out the Colt 6920 they are selling for about the same price now.

I have an M400 and really like the little extra's-ability to put a sling on the lower itself and not the stock,ambi-mag. release and different bolt catch. Sig makes good stuff. Buy with confidence.
