In the back of my 551-A1 receiver is a piece that that looks to be a removable buffer. Looks to be two pieces, one piece looks to come in from the front and one from the back. Has any removed these pieces? I was wanting to have my receiver painted black but im not sure if the peices would get damaged when the reciever is baked to cure the paint.

Id say contact sig customer service they'll have better information on whether it'll get damaged or not. |
