Not surprised? > Sig Rifles

Was at local Walmart yesterday to buy Pepsis, walked thru 'Sporting Goods' and found out that Walmart is now carrying Sig 516, as well as Bushmaster. Is $896.00 a good price on a 516 with all Magpul furniture, no muzzle brake and not threaded for one?

No flash hider? KY is not a ban state is it? Must be nuetered for Walmart in particular just like the 3" dia Charmin. Unaltered patrol model 516s are going for just under a thou on GB so not that great a deal considering the deleted feature.

Say What!!!

My Walmart only carries the ocassional Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle. Never have seen any black rifle of any kind in any Wally World heer.

I saw a Bushy AR15 in the Walmart in my travels to Casper Wyoming. They are carrying Tulo ammo in 55 gr. at my local store.

One of my co-workers came by my office today to let me know that he saw the SIG M400 and 522 at one of the area Wal-Mart stores along with the Bushmaster AR.

I haven't been to our local ChiComMart recently, but next time I am, I will have to check out the gun section and see if there are any black rifles. Wonder why they would choose to sell such rifles and not include threaded barrels? The price sounds good for a 516 to me, and the obvious solution to the lack of a threaded barrel is turning it into a SBR and having the barrel threaded when it is cut down.

I went by the local Wal-Mart yesterday and sure enough, there was a heavy barreled 522 and an M400 with plain heavy barrel and A2 stock. Looked like a ban state compliant version with non collapsing stock and no muzzle device.

The M400 they are selling is on Sig's 'new product' site as a varmint rifle, sold that way, like Rock River Coyete and the old Bushmaster Varminteer versions. Wal-mart in Campbellsville still doesn't have room for the 522. I bought a case of the Federal M855 last night. Wife said it should be good for at least 400 zombies.

Funny they dont have muzzle brakes, yet many Mini 14s have a flash hider/muzzle brake at the local Wally World
