I picked up a Sig 556 from a local dealer. Sig folder, sig plastic railed (fishgills?) forend. It came with the fixed hooded front sight and the popup peep rear sight.
Couple of questions: 1. Never mind, figured the first one out.... 2. What rear sight will correctly cowitness with the front hooded sight (diopter style)? |

sig sauer usa is selling a diopter sight that matches the new hooded front sight. why arent they including it with all their new rifles? probably because they want a couple hundred dollars for it.

Took it out to the range today for the first time. All I can say is WOW!
I stuck a FACOG on it since I havent decided on optics and I had it sighted in in no time. Nice little tight groups, shooting Q3131. Whole different feel than my ARs. It is now one of my top 3 .223 shooters: Sig 556, HK SL8 G36K clone and my custom built by me 18" AR. Cant wait for my SIg 556 pistol to come in
