| After having mine for about a month I have added a AR15 milspec reciever extenstion, Magpul MOE stock, LPA rear sight, and 551 handguards. Future plans are having the front sight blade machined thinner and the rear sight aperature opened up. What have you guys done? |
I think we will have to be patient with the upgrades for a little while . I do believe that soon enough they will start flowing . We are already seeing some companys trying to get 556 specific sights out . Even Sig will probably start producing more dodads . Also Grayguns has stated they will be supporting these rifles . I'm looking forward to what next year will bring .

You know, I've been pretty happy with the way my SWAT sidefolder came stock. Only things I did was toss on a K grip, an EO Tech, a sling swivel adapter, a Surefire X200 and soon a Samson front sight w/a Yankee Hill rear.
Wait, I guess I AM doing a bunch of random crap to it, eh? |

My 556 rifle is being converted to a 552 short barreled rifle. Form-1 was approved two months ago and my rifle is at Antique and Modern Arms for Frank to do his conversion magic. I am having him weld on a factory Swiss pictanney rail with the emergency back-up rear sight that I got from a demilled 552 kit.
Am currently working with a refinisher to duplicate the SIG gray finish both in color and durability. The Duracoat SIG gray is ok from a color standpoint, but is really anything but durable. I plan on using this rifle hard and want a finish that is durable. Will post pics as soon as I have the rifle back. |

Some of the things I have added: Eotech 552, Samson rail system, Tango Down stubby foregrip, Griffen charging handle, Magpul CTR Stock, Vickers Blue Force Gear Sling, Rock River Winter trigger guard, Viking Tactics light mount with Sure Fire light.
I'm saving for a set of good back up irons. I'm currently running the Sig Emergency sights.This will be my last addition and then the rifle will be done. I am very happy with it right now. It's been very dependable and I think I am ready to use it for the first time in a training class.
