By far my favorite rifle.
The one on the far left has been in service as a patrol rifle since 09. Broke one charging handle retainer in that time, other than that it is rock solid.

Hahaha. Well depending on when it might not have been me. See I saw it one night and decided to sleep on it and the next day it was gone. It was a day or two later I saw what looked like the same auction come up again. So I emailed the guy and asked what's the deal. Turns out someone did a buy it now but turns out that the rifle is illegal in their state. After that I didn't think snoozing on it again was a good idea so I hit the button

My favorite SIG 556 (yes, it's a 556, technically): I love the workaround so that I can use regular Lancer mags in this (or the regular SIG SAN rock-n-lock mags). |

Close to finished with these Estes Adams converted 556 receivers, the 551 is Swiss except for the upper receiver itself, the “553” is a P556 with added diopter sight, barrel is still the p556. The 551 will get sbr’d, think I’ll leave the pistol as is. The grey on the Swiss lowers matches better in person than the pic makes them look Attached File |

Am I late to the game...you bet, but I've had other priorities over time. I also thought these guns were way too expensive, until last weekend. $750 got me this, a SWAT Patrol version. The previous owner had unfortunately sold the Sig rear sight, but I had a set of new factory Sig folding sights in my spare parts box so I put them on after removing the fixed front sight. I figured I would have time to find a reasonably priced OEM fixed sight. I added the Sig scope which was on sale at PSA recently.
