Well I had my Interview with ATF of Aug 2 and he was very informative. Basically went over all the Regulations how to fill out all the documents needed. He informed me that I was very well prepared.
He told me that I should receive my license in 4-6 weeks. Is that normal?? I am working on week 3 and the anticipation is killing me. I really hope I don’t have to wait the full 6 weeks. Another question I have is can I go ahead register for my NICS account while waiting for the actual license to show up? Thanks! |

4-6 weeks actually sounds pretty good. I got mine last Nov. and the wait was 8 weeks. If it goes beyond that, you can call the licensing center and find out who is in in charge of licensing for your region. I finally did that after my looong wait and it happened to be on her desk. Had the license 2 days later.

Even though he already gave me my FFL #? It is not a complete number, your expiration date isn't in there. He probably gave you the shortened version of it. Until the licesning center issues it, you're not an FFL. |
