| What companies manufacture custom forged AR15 lower receivers? |
|
I'm sure most any of them will do it if you pony up a large purchase order and a really big check. (Maybe not Colt or FNMI).
The question then becomes how big of an order. Last time I inquired about it, Olympic would do a custom run for an order of 200 or more receivers. Likely the lower-volume/smaller manufacturers would have a lower threshold for such a custom order than one of the bigger names. |

Are you a Type 07 / Class 2, looking for lowers rollmarked with your logo and info? Or, are you just looking for a manufacturer to do a special run with custom engraving / serial numbers? If you're the former, you will need to file for a variance from BATFE, but it shouldn't be a major issue. In that case, you have several options.
Doublestar / J&T will do it for a big enough order. IIRC, it's a pretty big order, though. Tactical Innovations will do it for as little as 50 units, IIRC. There are a number of other options, with varying minimum orders and timelines. The thing to consider is if the supplier is having a hard time keeping their own rollmarked lowers in stock, they may not be in too much of a rush to halt production of their own products and change the rollmark just to sell you 50-100 lowers. They'll make more selling your their normal lowers than selling you a special run that costs them more time and money. |
