Has anyone ever heard of or used National Bank Card as a merchant account? I called them to day and got pre approved for a new credit card machine and everything to get setup with now money down.

My rates as quoted per transaction are .15% of total transaction and $.15 per transaction, so on a $100 total transaction they charge $.30

These are the lowest rates I have seen just curious if anyone else out there is getting these types of rates.

I think you're missing your discount rate.

Yeah, I think 1.5% would be more realistic.  Make sure you read the fine print most of the time the low rate quoted is for a swiped card transaction and the keyed transaction is higher.  Sometimes there is also a "non-qualified" rate which is a lot higher.  that would be for certain types of cards such as cards issues to businesses, you don't do the zip code validation or if you don't settle your batch in a timely manner and so on.

Do they know you will be selling evil firearms?  Might want to check that too.  A few people have had the plug pulled once that was discovered.

That was the the first thing I asked. They said they will give me an account for a firearms business. And I checked the rates again this morning, and the orginal rates I posted are correct.
