Anyone have recommendations on web hosting?  Just wanting to build a site to tie in a newsletter and develop a customer base.  In the next six months eventually add the ability to make purchases off the site.  Thanks in advance.  My head seems to be spinning with so many options.  Would like to keep it economical and maintain reliability.  Sounds like I am trying to buy an AR............

I use Microsoft Office Live for the hosting and domain registration. $15 per year. Its fairly simple to set up and design your site (no extra software needed). Not too sure about its ability to handle sales, but for a simple contact base it works well.

We use godaddy as well, they have integrated cart solutions and will actually allow you to sell gun stuff and guns, yahoo's payment processor won't. We were going to go with them til I saw that in their terms of service.

If you've got someone on staff or are outsourcing to folks with web design/cart integration knowledge then I'd give Hostgator.com a look for hosting. They have some great packages and have been very reliable for me. What they do NOT do is provide extensive integration for you, they provide the hosting and a selection of software on the server for you to use, but it's up to you to make use of it or setup your own.

That's a good looking website.
A website is on my immediate list of things to get done.

Hey thanks.  There is a ton of info on Wordpress on the net.  Very user friendly and able to customize to anything you want.
