Hi Folks,

I looking at starting at home FFL business. I have a gun safe that I use to keep my gun in, but I was wondering if I have get an other safe to keep my inventory seperate from my collection. Or can I just use the safe I have an keep everything together? I also keep ammo in my safe would that be a problem?

Thank,
Scott

We keep our personal firearms separate from our business inventory.  Otherwise, during compliance inspections the ATF folks are gonna ask why your personal stuff isn't in your bound book.

Some folks just attach a tag saying "Personal Firearm - Not For Sale" to the handguard, but IMO that would be a PITA to deal with every time I wanted to take the gun out shooting, and then put it back on when I was done.

you can keep them together but you need to tag them or keep a log of your personal firearms so they can be accounted for (info from an ATF compliance inspector during an inspection)
