| I spoke with a realtor yesterday and it's looking like I will definitely be applying for my FFL this spring as long as I can find a suitable piece of property during the next 3-4 months. I think I'm going to go with the 07 and 01 license. If I'm licensed as an 07 do I also need to get an 01 license if I want to deal with retail customers and have walk in hours? |

An 07 can do everything an 01 can do. And you don't get both. There is nothing required about retail hours or walk in hours in any ATF regulation. The application will only ask for your business hours. Business hours do not mean your have to see customers at that time. Start here: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/how-to/become-an-ffl.html |

The "business hours" you put on the application are the times when you can expect the ATF to drop by for your compliance inspection. On our application we put down M-F 9-5, but since we're home based, if we're awake we're open for business. Thanks for the info guys, so as an 07 I could do transfer for people then? |
