They’re boat anchors. Mine ran fine - even on my ersatz lower made from a trigger jig & thumbhole stock. |
I sell firearms produced by the finest child labor in the world, be it Filipino, Muslim, Mormon, Arizonan, or Texan.

Aside from the buffer system (which is rarely a point of failure) it’s all AR so I’m considering switching to the long config making this my primary. A little more shaving and it will accommodate an LMT MRP monolithic upper assembly which will provide better optics stability. Probably run a 12.5” barrel out of it for ballistics. |

Didn’t see this thread so I also started one. Really liking mine so far. Attached File |

And historically have had more spotty reliability - at least by some accounts. How about yours? Round-count and jam rate? |

Mine runs the Dead Foot Arms recoil system and it runs like a raped ape, especially with the FRT! That system is just a chopped down M16 BCG with a dual spring setup (included 6 springs so you can fine tune it for 5.56 up to .50 Beowulf). Aside from that, it's all standard AR15. |

The ARIC can be picky about what uppers and lowers it likes, though, regardless of the chassis. |

The thing that worries me about these bullpup kits is having the optic mounted on the handguard. I'm going to try to mitigate some of that issue with a PRI 3 screw riser and a Daniel Defense quadrail. |

Accuracy was not great during zeroing (probably 3-4MOA with M193), using an Armalite SS 16” bbl. I think it’s pretty easy to also put pressure on the rail system, not even mentioning the optic mounted to the rail itself. |

Hey Bluedog, Is see you are running the Dead foot system. Simple question, do you need the Dead foot buffer tube and the backplate to use the MCS springs and buffer? I just got my SRU chassis and the instructions are not cleared if the supplied buffer tube and end cap will work with the MCS. I am trying to figure out if running without that center post in the MCS system is a good idea or not. I am still waiting for Dead Foot to send my order. |

I confirmed all this back when I ordered because I was hoping I could just buy the Deadfoot bolt carrier and springs to save myself some money. SRU told me their buffer tube is only for use with the buffer less uppers and the LAW recoil system… though the ladder requires a little modification still. If Deadfoot is out of stock and you can cancel your order, I am actually selling my MCS25 kit as I’m switching to a JAKL upper. |

I think Thor answered your question; mine is the LAW version FYI. |
