Grip tape, they make an RDB specific one I replaced muzzle device with the old A2 sized BCM Warfighter, love it. and yank out the two rear spinning sling points (where I have the HK sticker) those are weakly installed failure points that will lock up your gun. |
 Came with everything in the picture except the holosun and sling. Pretty good package in my opinion. The mag catch is a really interesting design. I shot about half a mag through it, it’s pretty good so far. I’m hoping it shakes out good because my wife really likes it, she’s left handed so an ambi rifle is convenient. I’ll pull the sling mount when I get home. Thanks. |

Try putting a short screw pin or rivet through it or and a spring behind it and over the screw pin or rivet. test concept by gluing a short pencil eraser on the back with the spring over it first. Or maybe insert one of the cone (as opposed or compared to a purely cylindrical body) type foam ear plugs with teh base up top. Just for a proof of concept. |

IMHO, the RDB is the best design concept for a self-loading bullpup and only let down by a few minor cost-cutting features. The mag release is crying out for a total replacement and I wish the aftermarket would offer one. |

Magazine security is vital, and the curent system is too easily bumped - for the advantage of shaving half a second on a mag-reload; which was the wrong call. It's not immediatly obvious how to readily rectify this on our own. I imagine someone might come up with a way, but it's not clear to me. Ideas like increasing the tension via a spring and screw might work, but have their issues. if I'm going to drill a hole for a screw, can I just drill a hole that will sopport an AR15 style button appoach? |

Took it out over Easter Weekend and plinked at steel at 100, 200, and 300 yards. It ran great of course. not a whole lot more to say, it's a cool little gun ;) Aside from that, the dating thing has been sucking up a lot of my time; less shooting. |
| I have been intrigued by these little guns for a while. I have a few Kel Tec guns - SU-16, Sub 2000 and a couple KSG shotguns and really like them. I have a few friends who have the RDB and they keep pressuring me to get one, subconsciously. |

KelTec did something special here and are the only ones to actually pay attention to, and address, the issues that bullpups face. This is the only 5.56 Bullpup I bother with anymore, and is the only kel-Tec I own; and likely will ever own. Most bullpups are too heavy, too terrible of a trigger, difficult to swap sides on the fly, gas-by-face, and in some cases, just recoil a lot more than they should. KelTec addresses all of those items. Of course, it's made to KelTec standards, so accuracy is kind of meh; but good enough. |

Put another 30 rounds or so through it today doing some load testing. Very good ball ammo groupings and shooting today. Who knows, maybe the barrel is breaking in or something. Set up for some prone shooting  Targets set at 200 yards  55 ball grouping - zero is good enough for me, on the little 3x optic  Also testing some MK311 50 gr frangible ammo, that I didn't expect much from. Honestly, I'm pretty happy with this 200 yard grouping for what is supposed to be CQB Machine-Gun grade ammo :)  |
 So FWIW, this is a fairly regular issue with the RDB when you shoot from the bench or prone. The brass lands on the ground where your support arm is. When afoot, or in long sleeves, it's not a factor. But prone or at the bench - be aware.

Makes the RDB the hardest bullpup for me to shoot form the bench for that reason. I've had to get creative to avoid that hazard. |
