Looks like their bolting it together like the F2000 instead of friction welding it like the Aug. Is that an ambi mag release ala X95?

That's the first two things I thought of also! Looks like a bucket of crap and the stock looks like a FAMAS.

I'll buy the standard F90 when it comes out at any reasonable price. If they send THAT thing over, I'll think twice.

Curious about what that button on the cutlass handguard does.

But man, they really ruined the smooth, clean aesthetic of the AUG, and went full souless utilitarian with this revision.

Theres not alot of info on it and hasnt officially been announced by Thales or Lithgow. However it looks like its being produced in Europe by Caracal.

Thank you, I read the article and that's correct, appears they've gone X95 with the design and given it a "AR" mag release.

I wonder if the bolt release is still the same, or if the button that appears behind the magazine is now the bolt release, ala Tavor?

Also, the article states this is a 36cm / 14" barrel, which is an interesting choice.

I don't see a problem with the 3 rear sling attachment loops. Now comparing the first and second pics to the third. You can remove one or all. The first pictures make it look bad with all of them on at the same time. People like options usually.

Saves from having to get creative like some AUG models with the horrible front sling swivel.
