I am looking for a left hand Tavor. I see a few on Gunbroker and Buds, but was wondering if there is a better place to buy? Are they usually difficult to come by?
Does IWI still require sending in the rifle to change it from right hand to left hand? I was thinking about just buying a right handed one and doing the conversion, but I had read IWI wants to do the conversion. Can anyone verify? Thanks! |

I can verify that they don't want anyone but them to do the left hand conversion. They won't even release the left hand bolt to their distributors. |

Before I got my Tavor from Atlantic Arms, I had a local dealer looking for me. He found left hand Tavors for $40 less than right hand at his cost. No idea why. But that's what he told me. Thanks for the replies. I may just buy the 9mm version and wait for the LH 5.56 conversion kit to come out. Hopefully they will be out soon... |
| Whitaker's guns just west of Owensboro Ky usually has a left hand Tavor in stock. The last time I was there the price was less than retail but more expensive than right hand 16" Tavor. Left hand models, FDE and OD seem to bring a higher price than right hand 16" or 18" Tavors. |

My decision to buy a Tavor was due to shooting a friends right handed model. And while nice and accurate, every case ejected hit me in the jaw. Couldn't stand it.
Sad to report that my FFL is taking a mini vacation and though my Tavor will be dropped off tomorrow I won't get it until Monday :( |

Semi-related Has anyone tried to become proficient at shooting a Tavor from the off-shoulder but without switching hands? Say, to shoot around a corner on your weak side Wonder if it's possible to do it cleanly and consistently without brass hitting the face. If you're shooting full power 5.56, the shells eject more forward than anything. I haven't had problems with cases hitting my face when shooting offshoulder. |

If my FFL didn't give me such great pricing I'd go elsewhere
