I scoped out a Tavor at my local gun shop set up for a left handed shooter
The guy at the gun store said " we are waiting for some more to come in which will most likely be Right handed" I thought.....what?????? couldn't you just disassemble the gun and flip things around ? If I were to purchase this am I going to need to buy more parts to convert it to a right handed shooter? If so, does anyone know how much money we are taking about and what parts etc...? Thanks for you help |

You will have to purchase a right hand bolt. Believe I saw a price of $109.
Originally you could purchase and do your own swap. Evidently now IWI US is requiring that you ship your weapon and let them do the swap. They require an armorer to check head space clearance. If you want a right hand I would just get a right to begin with. Just my opinion. http://bullpupforum.com/index.php?board=30.0 There are some different discussions about it and IWI here. Evidently they are quick and easy to deal with. |

The Tavor will easily swap from right to left operation and vv.
The hard part is getting the bolt. IWI will not sell it directly to the end user. They'll convert for the price of the bolt and send the other bolt back. Both are now headspaced to the rifle. -- Chuck |
