Tavor IDF model question > Bullpup Firearms

Hi, I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet.

I bought a brand new Tavor IDF model yesterday.

I have spent some time completely reading the manual
and learning to disassemble the rifle thus far.

The only issue is the manual is for the flat top version, I
have the IDF version.

There are quite a few things on the top of my rifle which
are not addressed in the manual.

For one, I am guessing my IDF Tavor has flip up iron sights.

What is the proper technique for deploying and using these sights?

I havn't tried messing with them yet because it's not in the manual.

There are a few other odd shapes to the rear of the Mepro 21 sight.

What the heck are these things? A sortof hyroglyphic shape and a
circle??

Just a little confused.

Guessing? Have you looked?

I have the standard US IWA model but the Israeli sights should like the above photos.

(Those photos are, of course, airsoft. :) )

Yes I looked, and to be completely honest, I'm sure I see them, but
I have the super careful habit of not messing with things like this that are
not in the owner's manual unless I know the proper technique.

I was looking in the manual and also Youtube for any instructions
for deploying and retracting the IDF model's iron sights.

Like is there some sort of locking pin I need to
depress in order to pop them up/fold them down?

If any Tavor owners who have the IDF model
can shed some light, it would be appreciated. :)

Not sure if the IDF is the same methods as the std, but just flip them up. If not, usually there is a compression pin or clip that needs to be pushed.

The rear BUIS on the IDF model rotates counter clockwise to deploy. It is not a flip up. The front BUIS flips up. The strange areas on the receiver aft of the fear IDF BUIS are the IWI / meprolight proprietary 3/4x magnifier mount interfaces.it is a "twist and click" mounting thing.

The sights look completely different than my standard railed black version. the front sight looks the same though so it should just be a pop up sight. As for the rear I can't find anything about it. sorry bud, good luck.

Got some range time with the Tavor today.

Very pleased with this rifle. :)
