Took some time this afternoon to shoot the TAVOR. Used old 55 grain Georgia Arms. Aimpoint CompM3 on A.R.M.S. M68 system - absolute co-whitness.
A few observations:
1. Dead on factory sights at 25 feet (was shooting indoors due to rain).
2. The trigger - takes some getting used to. I have 5 bullpups including the AUG with the Neu Trigger and many AR platforms. A long pull, no creap but just not very responsive. After awhile you can figure out the break point.
3. Don't like the safety - needs a bit longer leg and needs to be ambi.
4.  Recoil - very nice
5. Gas - too much with the inside range I used. Could of been their air system but Stoddards usually vents well.
6. My eyes are getting old. Was able to get some bullseyes at 60 feet with the dot on a low setting. Need more pratice shooting standing and an outdoor range so as to breath.
7. Was wearing shooting gloves. Fingers on the left hand turned dark from the gas. Face seemed clean.
8. Ran 30 round Magpul Gen 3 and new Lancers. No issues. I like the Lancers since I could shoot 3, check the target, shoot another, etc. Easy to see what was left. Did not have to do the math.
9. The AAC blackout did ping.

Overall positive and glad I got one. Will need a different optic for distance shooting.

Thanksfor the pic, looks good with the AAC Blackout. It's hard to see close up, but I take it that you did not have to use the locking nut? I also heard that the threads were long on the Tavor barrel. No issues with the AAC Blackout mounting properly?

See my post here on the nut:

So you had to use a crush washer to install the AAC Breakout on the Tavor barrel from what I see?

You can't install the AAC Breakout by itself? It is designed to not use shims or crush washers.

Thank you for the information.

There is a gap that I did not like. So the old crush washer just fit in perfectly to cover the exposed threads. Yes it pings. I plan not to clean the FH so it curds up and stops pinning. Or maybe Drexel it some to change the harmonics.

I also installed an AAC Blackout on the Tavor and the ping is annoying as hell. Maybe it's due to the pencil barrel, but the ping is much worse than any other rifle I've shot with the Blackout. I already ordered a Brakeout because the ping was so bad. It would even ping when I would dry fire it! I love shooting it suppressed though.

The FOSSA-556 is another vortex-like brake but has holes drilled in the tines at different depths, so no ping....but it wouldn't fit AAC suppressors.
Also is the best flash hider I've seen for 14.5-16" barrels.  I'm posting a review soon--just trying to find a place to do some night shooting locally.

Anyone try a Battlecomp 2.0 on the Tavor?
