| I have someone who wants to sell me a new M17S pre ban bullpup. He has all the items less the factory box, he is asking $800. Good deal or pass on this? I'm not that up to date on this rifle and any info would help. Thanks. |

That's about the going rate for a new/like-new M17S in my experience. If I saw one at that price I would consider buying another; significantly less than that I'd be reaching for my wallet. Best NIB price I've personally seen in a while was $750, and that was a year or two ago. You'll have to make the call whether or not it's worth that to you, of course. Left stock they leave a bit to be desired IMHO, but they might appreciate as a collectible; modified they can be great shooters, but that costs more $$$ and ruins any collector value in the process. Mine was never bought to be a safe queen, had been shot a good bit over the years, and so I had no reservations about letting K&N mod it –– Ken turned it into an absolute gem. |

I'd by it at that price
wish bushmaster was still making it I asked the guys at windham weaponry about bringing it back, they offered Cerberus money for all the tooling, but freedom group took all the equipment to Illion with them. really cool rifle, too bad the bullpup reallly hasn't taken off with the American consumer. |

I emailed w/a guy whohas one on the ee. Then I found this section of art and have decided to wait for the steyer.
If you pass on it I may pick it up and send it to be "worked over". Right now, if I do one more thing to mytruck, I'll be moving out! And that started over me having too many guns! So I traded some for hot rodding stuff. |
