So, would anyone like to tell me how I'm going to get a spare E4 barrel?

Keep a sharp eye on Gunbroker and the EE. Be prepared with at least $600 in hand.
That or buy an MSAR with the barrel you want and part out the rest of the gun, usually you can end up with a barrel for $200-$300 that way.
