Anyone seen the new ad?  Is this a decent price for the version they are selling?   This thing is UGLY....but unique.  The price looks great but I thought I would ask here first.  It would only be a toy per-se as it will ad nothing to my line up other than uniqueness.

Makes a great car gun.  And something to experiment w/ to get it to a more useful caliber.

Merry Christmaunakah & Happy New Year!

I got the e-mail on about the 28th (ish)  never looked at the date.

So lets say they run this deal again......what are your opinions?

I don't have any experience with the FS2000, so no comment from me...

I personally am more interested in the AUG...

Not a great price. Lot of distributors are running a special on it. (FN must have a bunch in OD)
You should be able to pick one up for around $1500 - check Gunbroker.

Yup that price is a ripoff..

Those military over runs are $1400-1500 on average. Check sturmgewher, gunbroker,  etc

Wow, thanks for the input. Price looked killer to me but something in the back of my head said to ask.

After getting my MSAR E4 the bullpup bug has bitten me.  I was looking at the "it's really different" factor more than a battle rifle.

Off to look at the other places!

$1,789 is NOT a good price for them.

The FS2000 yo-yos up and down in price and that is the higher end right now. It consistently has come down to around $1400-$1500 so if you can't find it for that price you're probably better off waiting a month or two and looking again.

Tanners sport center    1500.  I think they still have some left right now.

That's a good price on the FNAR though...they are nice guns and shoot as well as advertised.

The ad values the included tri-rail at $189, so they are essentially pricing the FS2000 at $1600, although I don't think they will sell it without the rail for that price.

Still, at $1600 (even though nobody pays $190 for that rail) it isn't in line with the other dealers' prices.

OMG!

I just purchased another FS2000 from Specialist Gun Shop.

FN FS2000  Bullpup Rifles at 5-6 hundred dollars off?

This stuff does not happen very often!

If you get one you will feel very different once you have shot it.

The gun has a shorter silhouette than holding a pistol in a combat stance. It is very well designed and built with almost no problems reported. (I did change the charging handle to a metal one, though)
It is easy to take care of and ergonomically you just melt into the design.

I have had people laugh at the gun when they saw mine, shot it and went out and bought one.

They work, and they work very well. one of the truly new designs being offered and not just an oddity.
FN did their homework and this is one fine firearm

wulf...

is charging with the EoTech awkward?  I'm considering an fs2000 and i have an EoTech 512 to put on top.  It will probably be about an inch longer than yours?  You think ill have charging issues?

thanks in advance,

No, I had a 512 on this and the handle is not near a problem at all

When they first came out, they were priced >$2,000.

Then under $2,000 but still high.

Then around $1500-$1700.

Then around $1500.

I've shot both Steyr AUG and FN FS2K side-by-side.  AUG definitely handles faster/quicker on target for me and other shooters who also shot it side by side.

First one I saw in a gun shop was close to $5K.  Hadn't given it a second look in 3 years due to the price.

I would think that the AUG would handle better since it looks less cumbersome but again I am in it for the uniqueness.

I shot it and AUG A3 side by side too, and I also favor the AUG. It felt better to me. The FS2k does have forward ejection, which allows you to easily fire ambi, if that's your thing. Youtube will show you guys firing RH AUGs in lefty stance. It can be done, but the rounds will bounce off of you somewhere. So of course, there's aftermarket deflectors for that. For me, that's almost a non-issue. The AUG has everything else going for it other than that. Charging handle on the FN is poorly designed and breaks often. You also have to remove the factory magwell dust cover on the FN if you want your mags to drop free. Some would say using M16 mags is a plus, but I prefer the AUG's proprietary mags. Almost every modern polymer mag is a copy of it, including Magpul's (flame-on). If you use a NATO stock kit to convert an AUG to take M16 mags, you loose the A3's bolt release feature.

So in short, AUG A3 FTW

I couldn't help myself, I upped my order to three and picked up the girls yesterday.  Two Blacks and one OD.
What do we really have available to purchase for Small Arm Imports?

Pre-Bans that were manufactured long ago.
I love my Augs, along with the Original Technology.

PB Steyr Augs $3000 Plus.
Galil AK  $3500 Plus.
HK 93 $2500 Plus.
FS2000 $1599.00.   ( For a Limited Time )

Come Early fall when the Election Paranoia is peaking, maybe I can flip two of these to a friend or two and make a grand

But a used A3 runs $2400+ these days, got my FS200 for $1399 new, I wouldn't of paid 2k for it. I wasn't about ready to lay down $1400 on a  MASR with the huge amount of problems those weapons have and a bankrupt company.
