I have two msar's one e4 s/n 99xx and a all green limited edition stg 556 serial #1xx and need to get rid of one . Have had no problems with the e4 and the german stg is brand new but which one is a better gun to keep , don't know if the stg has better parts in it, looks like it has a chrome bolt and i think dave said they where built by hand , so i don't know if it is better to keep the stg and shoot it or to keep e4 which shoots fine and i have had no problems with ? any info would be appreciated and dave if you are reading this which one do you think is a better gun to keep. Thanks.

If I could only keep one of the two rifles you describe, it would be the rifle I was already shooting and having no problems with.

Another option would be to call up Ratworx and see if they have any green E4 stocks to use with your all green "German" STG.

If I only had one MSAR rifle, it would be a STG.  I like the mags, and I just think they look "better".

Good luck with your decision.

I would keep the one that has proven itself already.

Sell them both.....the sky is falling, the sky is falling.....

All kidding aside I would hold on to the "German" version, it's the one that you would probably take the biggest hit on if you were to sell it.

Plus you can always get another E4.

i already have a green e4 stock , just need to change square lock to round lock and also have a extra tan stg stock for my e4 and plenty of stg mags also, which makes my decision that much harder !

get rid of the E4.  It is the easiest to replace.

I have an E4 but run mine with the STG stock and mags.  A purely aesthetic choice on my part.  The E4 stock will show more promise to me when the caliber conversions come about.

Pull the locking piece out of your STG stock and put it on the E4 stock.  Then put your green receiver and barrel in the E4 stock with the round lock.  It will function just fine.
