The following is a brief note from Anthony Marfione our CEO and president to address rumors and chatter on internet message boards.

By Anthony & Susan Marfione

In response to Rumors and innuendos mentioned by certain individuals amongst our cutlery and firearm industry about a potential acquisition of Microtech Knives or any of its subsidiary company's by Benchmade Knife Co. I have often wondered why when rumor strikes, no one individual has ever had the courtesy to inquire with me, Tony Marfione, directly to get the real truth about a situation. But making an inquiry would mean that the individuals would have the facts that were correct, but that would not be acceptable for the few of you out there that pride yourselves on spreading lies and deceit about others. We have often had inquires from other companies and individuals in the past with potential business dealings, such as collaborations on products, combining companies, acquisitions, etc. These often were good exercises for us as a growing company, it always allowed us to explore the best possible avenue to take or not take.

We are at this time exploring some potential business dealings with Benchmade Knife Co. out of Oregon. We have recently had similar talks with other U.S. based entities for some time now, but Susan and I truly believe that Les DeAsis and Family have done an extraordinary job developing their business, as well as surrounding themselves with an extremely talented, highly motivated, utmost dedicated TEAM of professionals. It is very difficult in any economic climate to achieve just this. Fact of the mater is, Susan and I have had this vision, determination, and heart since the conception of our business in 1993. MSAR and Microtech Knives is here to stay, whether it is carried through our eyes or the DeAsis Family, Company and Team. The correct and decisive outcome of these negotiations will be the best outcome for all party's involved… most importantly OUR COSTUMERS!

A special Thank You to all out there who have shared and supported our vision!

Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New Year!

Sweet.  Good to hear.  A few spelling errors here and there but I don't necessarily need my gun maker to be an English Major.

Although, how do we know this is actually from Mr.Marfione? It could be an imposter! Or the man on the grassy knoll! That settles it, MSAR is going out of business and is being purchased by Pilgrim's Pride Chicken. Rumor started.  Now spread your wings my angels of deceit, and deliver this message to all who seek unreferenced information.

Ive thought the opposite way, why would a company allow rumors and lies run around the internet for so long without the courtesy to address the problem to thousands of us, the customers ,  here on the message boards . Wouldnt that be easier than thousands of people calling and wanting to talk to you.  Why let us go on bickering and making assumptions for so long only to make a statement condeming us for doing so ?  Seems like we have a lack of communication going on, maybe we should talk more, its alot of fun being a member here, hint  hint.

Have a Merry Christmas .

I've said it before and I'll say it again. 2011 is going to be a good year for all of us MSAR owners.

I've seen enough of Tony's writings, I mean typos,  that I can assure you it was him.

Hmmm interesting.

If indeed MSAR was sold and the new company decided to carry on with the MSAR firearms side I would be very intersted to see where they would take it.
