Hello All.

I thought I'd tell you of my recent experience with Microtech & my E4, that was purchased last year. It wouldn't work with factory mags––only PMags & H&K.

After reading about the stainless steel replacement mag lever & spring, I contacted MSAR & received an email response within 12 hours. A couple hours later, I received an RMA #. The rifle stock was shipped out FedEx & arrived Thursday––the repaired rifle is in my hands––and the new part/spring allows the factory, H&K & PMags slide in & our slick as snot. 3 business days––total.

Hopefully I'll have some trigger time Sunday & will post results about feeding with the new repair & the 3 mags I use––as well as NHMG 30 round GI mags.

Disclaimer: I have no connection to Microtech––other than my purchased rifle. The purpose of this post is just to reassure folks who may be waffling on whether or not to get an MSAR––customer service has been great, in my experience.

It's not like SIG––where I haven't been able to speak with a person for 4 months, get an emailed response, etc. I've given up with them. I'm way more impressed with my E4 & Microtech than my SIG 556 Classic & SIG's non-existent service.

And––that Muther is fixed!

Took the E4 out and fired 3 rounds, changed mags, fired 3 rounds, etc.

In order, I used a factory mag, PMag, NHMTG aluminum mag, H&K, PMag, Factory mag, firing 3 shots & changing the mag. 2 full mags of XM193––no malkunctions of any sort.By my count, that only 360 rounds, but I experienced no malfunctions of any type with any mag, including the 20 round PMags.

Actually, yesterday was a day that was an introduction to shooting at our local range for a group of 8 young adults who never shot firearms before. They ALL wanted to shoot the E4 as it was "cool looking" and, more importantly––accurate. A couple of the ladies who had NEVER shot a gun before nailed the 75yrd gong with boring regularity 12 times out of 12 shots. The guys didn't seem to fare quite as well––but all were hitting 70-80% of the time––again––having never shot before.

I did install a Nue-Trigger which smoothed the action (I cannot WAIT for this to be available for the PS90).

So––for anyone out there worried about MSAR, the rifle, customer service, etc––I have had nothing but POSITIVE, PROFESSIONAL dealings with Microtech.

I wish I could say the same for SIG!

Good to hear. There were a lot of doom and gloomers after dave left but I think good CS goes with a good company so I dont think MSAR would higher sup par CS. I was waiting for a 14.5in E4 but since those look to be out of the picture Ill be ordering one here soon.

and to really put things in perspective it was good before Dave was on the scene, I returned 2 limited edition rifles for the trunnion upgrade in the first days of MSAR's existence no drama...

I'm usually pretty positive about MSAR and their service...but I'd like to know why there isn't some form of compensation for those of us who sent our stocks back for the mag catch "fix".  As far as I know, everyone has had to foot the bill to get it to MSAR...under a normal recall that cost would be covered by the manufacturer.

Maybe I'm just a little steamed that no one in their shipping department actually read the work order that Paul wrote and instead they shipped the stock to the wrong address...
