| I found a dealer online that has some 20" STG556 rifles, not the E4 version. Can these be converted to E4 so they'll take AR mags? Or is it really even worth the trouble to do it? |

You can buy an E4 stock (if you can find one) and assuming the STG is a current 'square lock' rifle it is pretty much plug and play on the new stock.
**If you have one of the early 'round lock' STG's (very unlikely that a dealer would still have one) then you need to replace the square lock crossbolt with a round lock one on the E4 stock. I did it in about 5 minutes with some instructions from MSARdave I have both stocks for my STG and both work fine. |
