| Well I took the plunge and picked up a 20" OD MSAR STG 5.56 last week. I put an Eotech 512 on it and so far I like the way it feels and handles except for one problem. Factory magazines and various other types including GI, steel and Magpuls all seem to hang up on the magazine catch or the magazine well. It literally takes two hands to pull them out of the gun. The other magazines have been used in various AR rifles without issue. I can't tell if the magazine catch is hanging up or if there is some other issue. I searched and found a couple of related posts but I didn't see a clear answer as to what might be causing the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Just got mine today, and I have the same problem.
Came with 5 msar 30 rounders, they seem to be the hardest to get out. GI mag came out slightly better, but still a two (strong) handed op. In fact it has a msar mag in it right now, (empty) that I can't get out, I am afraid I am going to break something. 
I have tried pushing up, while pulling, squeezing completely on the handle slight forward to back pressure, still no go. Will try again later... OD green E4. |
