I met a gentleman out at the range recently who was shooting his new MSAR E4. He was kind enough to let me shoot a magazine through it. I noticed he was using Charter Industries steel mags with the gun and asked him about this. He told me that the gun had initially given him some feeding problems with the factory magazines. He switched to the steel mags and the gun had been working perfectly ever since. I had a couple Tango Down ARC mags with me and they would not fit into the mag well.
I've got a green E4 on the way and am looking forward to trying it out. Anyway, I wanted to ask about using various M16 magazines in the rifle. From what I've read, the Lancer mags won't work either. I'm assuming there are no issues with PMAG's, since I've seen a number of pictures on the 'Net with Magpul magazines in use. What else will or will not work, from personal experiences? TIA. |

If you don't, why bother? How often are you going to be in a situation where you don't have any mags, no loose ammo, and someone gives you a mag that's rather rare given how many of every other type is in circulation? Just something to ponder. |
