| That acog looks about perfect for the rifle. I guess it is a compact but does anyone of the scope gurous know if ther is anyway to mount it about 1/2 inch lower? I have looked through lots of mounts and acog versions and can't seem to find one that can be mounted lower ( I'me only talking about magifing type ones, not the red dot types.) |

Those little ACOGs are great on the AUG platform. I'd probably flip the base around so the huge thumbscrews didn't get in the way, or better yet, get a LaRue base for it.
Only problem I have with the ACOG is the inability to focus the objective lens. My eyes are getting worse with age, and I need an optic that I can focus for use w/o glasses. |

After waiting a year for this thing I wish they would have just sent my deposit back rather than sending me a rifle with a regulatort that broke after 30 rounds and no forward assist. What else? I can send you a regulator, did you call me? I looked back and I waited about 8 months for the AXR. It seemed like a long time. It's a cool rifle and I have wanted one like it since before the 89 ban but would never commtt the cash. Including the scope I believe I have more into that rifle than any other I own. The top snapping off that regulator is a concern. I sent an e-mail about the regulator. The reply was that the problem was under investigation. |
