I've got a MSAR stg556 with a rail instead of the optic. What do you suggest as far as cheap set of BUIS? Thanks.

Do you have a new E4 or an older version STG? Unless you use a small optic like an Aimpoint Micro there isn't much room on the older raised optic rail for both an optic & BUIS.
However, if you have an E4 or swap out the old optic rail for the new longer & lower E4 optic rail then you have both sufficient room & decent cheekweld. For BUIS I have the Magpul MBUS. I wouldn't want to shoot Camp Perry with them but they're accurate enough to hit small rocks at 50yds, lightweight & affordable. HTH... When do you plan to use your BUIS? Just for the fun of it? At the range or hunting in case your main optic fails? Cheap may work then.
Or are you putting BUIS on your rifle as a backup in a home defense or shtf scenario? If this, to save your life, don't go cheap. BUIS take up rail space, take time to sight in, require practice, etc. So don't short yourself on em IMO unless you are just messing with having some. Troy sights are my choice and I even have the night sight version of the Troy battlesight. |
