This may have been covered before...

I'm really looking hard at getting an MSAR. I've read good things about them, but haven't run across anywhere that tells me a whole lot about how it shoots. What kind of groups are you guys getting from them? Are they shooting as well as your AR15s are 50 and 100 yards?

I damn near put my AR on GB this week to fund an MSAR, but when it came time to click "Submit New Listing" I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I haven't deliberately shot for group size yet but have gotten numerous 1" 3-shot groups at 50yds while sighting in my optics (4moa & 6.5moa dots, not the best for precision shooting) using Prvi Partizan 55gr M193. I have no problems whatsoever w/the 200m gong and the 300m gong was doable w/the 6.5moa dot if I did my part.
HTH...

ETA: Biggest accuracy hurdle (IMHO) is the typical bullpup trigger. It will never equal a good AR trigger but it improves significantly w/use.

I'm pretty much scared that I'd buy it, and it shoot like an AK with no sights on it.

I own an AK, an AR and n MSAR.  With the factory optic on my MSAR I shoot considerably tighter groups than both the other rifles.

Unless you are a national match grade shooter, you will be more limited by your choice of ammo and your own skill than the full accuracy potential of the MSAR.

As long as the rifle can out shoot me, I'll be happy.

I can shoot one inch groups at 100 yards using the factory optic.

im going 1000yd shooting with my .308 in 2 weeks, im bring my 16" STG to shoot random range groups with, im gonna take my mk4 off my .308 and see what the stg will do with that on top....ill keep you posted

eta: the difference in accuracy will be noticed if you fire 3 shots quickly at any distance with both an AR and the STG. the bullpup is much easier to shoot quickly and follow up shots are very accurate. the stg has little if not, no muzzle rise and therefore you can stay on target without much effort.

I wouldn't worry about THAT.  Mine shoots like other 16 inch, chrome lined 1/8 twist barreled guns do.  So expect the same kind of accuracy you'd expect out of an AR15 with that sort of barrel installed.  Accuracy is in the barrel and the ammo, and the MSAR barrels are very nice indeed.  If you put one on a bench and put some super expensive 75 grain Black Hills Match ammo through it I bet it would shoot very nice groups indeed.

As it is, I'm content with knocking down falling steel plates at 200 yards with 55 grain Privi Partisan ammo.  Good times!

Here's my first target after I sighted in my MSAR.  Keep in mind that the target is 11"x17"  The group is approx 2"

I am curious which range you shot that at...since FCO does not allow centerfire at their indoor range.  Also, what position did you shoot it from?

I bought a book of targets at French Creek and was shooting 100 yards at New Holland off a sandbag rest.
