Ive been looking at MSARs and AUGs for a while now, and it seems like the price has jumped up like 700 bucks.  Maybe I am looking in the wrong places, what should I expect to pay for one?  It looks like close to 2000 bucks, but 3 months ago it was like 1200.  Is this right??

For a rail model, Ratworx is still selling them for $1,722.  For the integrated optic model it is $1,849.  I've never seen an MSAR below $1,500 even used.

What about the AUG Styer?  What are the difference between them and the new MSAR?

NO, it isn't right.  best price I ever saw was aroudn $1550, due to a price hike of about 15% by MSAR the MSRP has gone up, and the recent election of Obama has also pushed the prices up a  bit beyond that.

Optic or rail, and how many mags makes a big difference on pricing.

If you hunt you can get an STG 556 for around a little over $1600 for a top rail no scope.

At no point have I heard of someone going through a dealer and paying less than $1400 for a NIB STG 556 for the top rail no scope.

Right now the market average for a NIB STG 556 with top rail no scope is about around $1800 give or take a few bucks.

An STG 556 with an optic is going to cost you around $1,900-$2,000 right now.

I'd check here at the AR15.com E&E, Gun Broker, CDNN Investments, Rat Worx, and Atlantic Firearms for the best deals price wise.

Steyr AUG A1's are around $3,000-$4,000 for an OD Green 20" that's in decent or NIB shape.

Steyr AUG A2's are going for around anywhere from $5,000 to $7,000 depending on what comes with it and condition.

Steyr USR are going for around $2,500 or so depending what comes with it and condition.

For an AUG A1, A2, or USR I'd check out PJ Investments, Gun Broker, and Sturmgewehr.com.
