You can change the offset distance so the LR knows how far from the flight path it’s generally located. Had to do this with my SPR shooting hot 77gr loads as the LR was seeing bits of particulate matter coming out of the muzzle and registering crazy (12,000fps) velocities every once in a while. |

I got out to the range today to try out the Labrador. Thanks to all the help here I got everything working on my first shot and everything worked great.
I didn't buy the plate or a mini tripod and just figured I'd see what I could do with a normal sized stand that I used with my chrony.

Can someone who purchased the metal mounting plate be kind enough to give me some measurements and the thickness? I have to work this weekend and I might just fire up the plasma cutter.
Also is there anything you would change on the plate? As in bigger, thicker, longer etc. |

If you really want to go that way, drop me a PM and I'll cut you a hell of a deal on a pretty orange one. I'm never going to use it again. Oh, and give me a bit and I'll get the dimensions for you. Just got home but will go dig it out as soon as the family is settled in and the dog is walked. |

I had this thing out last weekend and it was amazing how easy it is to use. I went ahead and put a small straw up on top to aid in aiming. I bought a knock off power pack and run the app off my tablet. I used an old padded game console travel bag (similar to laptop bag) it fits perfectly and there is room for the manual, batteries, cords and small tripod.

I wish the mobile app was better. I had issues today with it staying connected, and if it disconnected I had to restart the unit or it would fail to reconnect. Never had that problem before.
I also feel like the options from the options menu should all be accessible in the app. Maybe they are and I just didn't see them, but about all I use the app for is arming and disarming. |

Sold a couple things and ordered one from Brownells. I paid a little extra at Brownells but they have the "guaranteed forever" warranty on it. I even chatted with them to verify they'd stand behind it for as long as I owned it; from what they said as long as the original owner keeps the receipt they will refund the full purchase price if anything ever breaks on it. I've already got a camera tripod from my other chrono, do I need a USB power pack or is it just nice to have? Any other accessories I need to look at? I'm probably going to get the hard case from Harbor Freight (free multi-meter!!) |

I have a short table top tripod for the bench, but a full size tripod just in front of the bench might work better if you have a long barreled rifle. I just haven't tried it yet. I'm always afraid of knocking the LR off the bench accidentally with the short tripod so close to the far edge of the bench. Hard case is nice. I use an aluminum case from HF that only cost $20. I print out a cheat sheet with the directions in case I forget how to reprogram a setting and put it in the case too. |

I use a EC technologies battery pack for mine, it also allows me to keep my phone and my iPad plugged in(3 ports) at the same time as the labradar and keeps everything charged...I also use a plastic speed square for aiming...makes it much easier to get the radar positioned right.. Attached File |
