Currently putting drill in vise and using a giruard trimmer, rcbs uniformer then rcbs crimp remover. My question is their a tool that uniforms the pocket and cuts crimp in one step? Have a super swedge and use it when I feel like sorting brass and a hornady uniformer that's suppose to clean pocket as it cuts crimp but not crazy about it either. What I'm using works good but there has to be a way to cut a step out right?

You might ask at www.usrifleteams.com under the National Match forum. You'll have to register 1st

I don't know a tool that will do both uniform and ream/remove the primer crimp.

I use a Hornady crimp reamer and a RCBS uniformer.

Get a 6x32 coupling nut and chuck tools in a drill.

The RCBS case prep tool rotates too slow for these operations.

The RCBS die reswages the primer pocket, you shouldn't need to drill it out first.  I never do.

Dillon has a standalone horizontal press to reswage the primer pockets.

Thanks for the replies, do use both the uniformer and crimp remover in a drill but it would be nice for a tool that does both. Esp. When doin thousand at a time.

Something like this will probably work. Not made for it, but the cutters will remove the crimp. I've done it by hand.

Chuck it in a drill and let it go to work.

Uniforming primer pockets on .223 is a waste of time unless it's for actual competition at 600 yards or more. Cleaning with stainless steel pins is a better bet, less work and great results.

I use Dillon's Super Swage 600 and have processed close to ten thousand cases over the last 35 years.

Some brands of brass have primer pockets too deep to be uniformed. All USA manufactured brass I have ever owned can be uniformed, but I can virtually guarantee you won't see any improvement on target for doing so. The benefit, if any, will be between your ears.

Thought one of the points for iniforming the pocket was to avoid high primers?

That's why I uniform, not worried about 600 yds.
