I shot my 25.5 TAC load with this bullet in my new 20" A2 build and it was quite accurate in my informal testing. My other barrels hadnt been shooting it so hot so that's awesome.
It was too dark to chrono but I think itll be over 3000 in the 20" 
Wish I had some gel. |

I tried these out today in a Savage 10 with a 1/9 22" barrel.
This was the best group of the day at 300 yards. Load was AA2495 in Wolf once fired brass. Attached File |

If you want to see a miracle, work up to this load: Lake city brass The primer of your choice (I used wolf) 26.1 grains of AA2520 COAL= 2.250 IN MY RIFLE I got up to 27.5 without visible pressure signs but 26.1 gave me consistent sub MOA groups at 3050 FPS |

I ordered 1500 of the Hornady 62 gr HPBT bullets at the end of July while they were offering free shipping for orders over $99.00. Received them promptly, and they shoot great in my 1 in 8" and 1 in 9" twist AR's with 24.5 gr of Ramshot TAC. However my 1 in 12" twist Remington couldn't keep them on paper at 100 yards, even with the 26" barrel. Order from Mid-South with confidence.
I would have attached a photo of a pair of 10 shot groups my Stag Model 6 shot at 100 yards off the bench, but can't figure out how to post. The group with WSR primers measured .756 of an inch, while the CCI-400 primers was .888 of an inch. |

I have been running them for a few years in my ARs and a Remington 783 with 1:9 twist.
The Remington was a $250 rifle after rebate and will shoot the 62s "sub MOAall day long" My loads, use at your own risk- 25.0 TAC with a Magtech primer. 22.3 SMP 735 which is a surplus ball powder that burns a little hotter than H335. |

I just loaded the last 2000 or so of these I had bought back in the day. 24.5gr TAC / Win41 primers and mixed brass runs about 1 - 1.5 MOA out of my Ruger American Ranch. Out of curiosity I looked at Midsouth and they are still selling these, albeit in smaller quantity than a few years ago. 62gr BTHP |
