I have a (virgin) John Wayne commemorative Winchester 94 chambered in .32-40.  The lack of packaging materials and a few pits in the finish knock it out of the land of collectables, so I've decided to load some rounds and take it to the range.

Can anyone suggest a good first-time load for this rifle?
I would also like to start casting bullets for it.  Any good suggestions for a mold?

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook #4, $21.99.

Page 174 lists 165, 170 and a 200 gr cast bullet data.

They recommend using Starline 38-55 brass and sizing in a 32-40 die to get cases to load.

Good luck.
