Now that things seem to have settled down a bit, I decided to pick up a Glock 20 I do reload for the 40 sw so dies are good to go and there are 10 mm cases from the usual sources. Of course I have many reloading manuals just wondering if there are any pet loads you guys are using ?? I have Blue Dot, w231, Tite group and some 150 gr and 180 gr plated bullets and some 180 Hornady HP's Been a while since I have been on arfcom. Thanks John |

Have started reloading 10mm recently, finding most popular powders are Blue Dot, Longshot, 800X, AA7/AA9, WSF. and Power Pistol. Note all loads below shot though 5" Delta Elite.
PP 6.6, WST 6.0 over 180 Coated make great range/target loads, as well BD 9.1gr - all should land in the 1000-1100 range and are often recommended on several 10mm forums. Below, for me shot out of the Delta Elite. Use are your own risk. 10.0 gr of BD over 180gr Jacketed runs right under 1200 11.0 gr of BD over 180gr Jacketed gets you into the 1250 range, more in line with original normal power 10mm load. 13 gr of AA9 180 Jacketed runs right at 1200 14 gr of AA9 180 Jacketed runs 1325 15 gr started bulging brass so only shot it one, don't recall the velocity...but it was fast :) Note I found AA9 a very fine powder, and it caused issues priming b/c it gets everywhere and started building up around the primer cup on my 550 :(. BD, PP, WSF most often recommended for target/range (ie, not super hot) loads. Longshot, 800X most recommended for hot loads, pushing the envelope, etc. You'll find current load books have backed off the max load data, older manual will have higher max loads. Partly due to powder difference, partly due to several popular 10mm handguns not having fully supported chamber, ie the Delta Elite and Glock. As always, start low and work your way up. You could use the w231/HP38, but since you have Blue Dot, I'd suggest using it instead. |

Power Pistol and Blue Dot have worked well for my hot loads. Longshot is good as well.
I have picked up some BE86 to try out but haven't gotten around to loading any in 10mm. It doesn't look like I can get the same velocity with it as PP but it does have the flash suppressant in it. I have loaded some blasting ammo with Unique. It's pretty good for that purpose (don't have to try to set the world on fire all the time )

Blue Dot, Long Shot, AA#7/#9, Power Pistol are all your friends. Don't bother with 800x unless you have a Charge Master. N105 is supposed to be amazing with the heavier bullets. Going to load some later this winter. I made a batch of 10mm loads with N105 and Double Tap 200gr hardcast bullets... Good stuff. |

Why are you trying to reload 10mm for a G22? That's a 40. We can talk semantics and history but you won't cram a loaded 10mm case in a G22 mag. As for reloading, I like blue dot for the 10mm, and universal for the 40. 180 grain bullet for both. I was wondering the same thing. |

| I settled upon Power Pistol powder for all my 165 and 180 jacketed as well as 200grn hardcast loads for my 10mm. I've seen great results in my longer 6" barrel over my friend's stock 4.6" barrel with velocity increases of over 200fps using it. Power Pistol seems to love longer barrels. |

I'll agree with this, seeing better results with PP than WSF in a 5" barrel - I had though WSF was going to be the way to go for range fodder/plinking, but PP is proving more accurate than WSF for a 1000FPS load for me. At least I can use the WSF for 9mm :). |
