I've been looking for a replacement small primer tray for my Hornady hand primer.

Today I figured I'd call and see if by chance Hornady sells just the tray.

The rep on the phone asked what specific part I needed and asked if I I'd broken mine. I told her I had dropped the hand primer and snapped the tray.

She informed me they do have just the tray and asked me for shipping info. I was a little thrown off because she hadn't given me a price and I figured if the tray was more that $15 I'd just buy a whole new primer tool.

I was just about to interrupt and ask the price when she told me it was covered under warranty and the new one would ship with 24 hours

Yes, that's about the same story as I would tell.  Great CS from all the reloading companies.

I have a LNL AP press. Every time i call them, they know how to fix the problem and give me whatever parts I need for free

For me:
#1 Hornady
#2 RCBS
#3 Lyman

Only dealt with FA once and they were great too.

Dillon? meh... for some reason my calls only go to condescending jerks. They must have my caller id on a black list. The funniest example was when they told me to call Graf's because a few parts were missing from my new SL900 press. What manufacturer has ever told a customer to talk to the retailer about missing parts????

Hornady and RCBS are top notch, i have had the same kind of service from both, unheard of in this day and age.

I just realized I forgot to ask for a pawl for my lnl

I recently had to use my spare and I don't like not having an extra on hand since no body carries them nearby.

I have had the same type of story with Hornady and RCBS.

Reloading companies customer service is the exact opposite of most local gun shops.

I had the same experience with Hornady CS, I had cracked the lid on my Hornady tumbler and they just wanted my address so they could send me out another one.

I have had nothing but good luck with Dillon, Hornady, and Redding when I needed them to replace or repair something.

Circa 2004. Ordered a dillon 650 with all the trimmings (.223 and .40sw toolheads).  Get it, do the great unboxing and mount it.  Take the day off to do some reloading.  Cannot figure out why the primers won't feed and seat.  Call dillon and finalize realize the pawl is not advancing the primer disk.  Dillon dude laughs it off and says, well now you have the day to learn your machine and your new part for your new machine is on its way...

Have had great rapport with lee, rcbs, Hornady otherwise...

RCBS Dillon Forster Redding all gold standards
Hornady is fine, just not with some issues with bullets
Lee Sucks

L.E. Wilson is great, too
Harrell's is great.
