I saw this the other day and did some googling with out any luck.

What I know is cci primer, 50bmg reload , and the gun was a bolt action. The prime looks to be sucked in.

I have seen that before when you chamber the fired piece of brass again and pull the trigger again.  Repeat about five times and you will start seeing that.

One possibility....

I don't know about the 50 BMG but you'll see that pretty much on the first "re-strike" on a re-chambered empty round.

You'll also see it if the bullet was pulled and powder removed then the round was fired just to spend the primer.

Round was fired, and no dry firing. That was the only one out a of lot of  about 10 that did that.

Virtually all of my .38 Special loads look like that.

Have found a LOT of 45ACP SP brass like that, and quite a bit of WCC 5.56*45 brass the same.
