Anyone have a recommendation? Gosh.. yeah, I do remember those issues with my Lee not so perfect measure. Hornady's or one of those types has been great with H110 and powders like it. Hope you don't intend to use it on a Lee turret though. It's a bit heavy. When I was running the Lee turret (before getting a LNL), I used a Chargemaster for powders like that. Worked great. Don't even bother trying powders like 1680 on the Lee. |

I throw H110 and 1680 on a regular basis with a Lee Auto Disk.
This thread describes how I fixed it. Easy and cheap. All too often we recommend replacement, when just a little modification is all that is needed. |

I'm not listing the Lyman 55, never used one. But I suspect it would work fine. Just never seen one for sale at the funshow. Still looking. Lyman 55 works great with H110! Never knew the model of that powder measure, after a quick google I know now that it is a Lyman 55 |

H110 as a ball power throws well in most everything. I use a ton of it in my Dillon powder measure with consistent accuracy. Never heard of anyone having problems with it in any powder measure. It's a relatively fine ball powder and can be prone to leakage. I loaded WC820 for a while in my Ponsness for .410. WC820 makes H110 look like boulders it is so fine. I had a terrible time with leakage. I ended up modifying my loader slightly and stopped any leakage from occurring even with WC820. I haven't tried H110/W296 in my Hornady or RCBS measures. But the design of the measures seems to be adequate to prevent powder migration - assuming the drum fits into the cast iron chassis properly. The Ponsness loaders use a different design and is more prone to problems with tolerances and seals. From what I can tell the lee autodisk is more similar in operation to the Ponsness style measure, could be they are fine with tight tolerances, but not so good in cases of sloppy tolerances. |

Do a google search on this and you will find that it is a known problem with Dillon powder measures and the very fine H110. |

I'm going to throw out there that my Harrell's doesn't like fine ball powders like that. When I use True Blue it doesn't leak, but it becomes extremely gritty. Like the powder is getting into places where it isn't supposed to. So, don't go out and buy a $200+ powder measure expecting to throw fine ball powder with it. ![]() |

I have a Lyman 55 and I use it to throw fine ball powders HP-38, Alliant MP300, ect. It is a little finicky to get set up but it throws a very consistant charge everytime.
The Drum mechanism consists of the Cast drum and two brass covers which are manipulated by operating 2 knurled knobs and secured by a set screw with a quick twist of the fingers. One fine tunes the load in very minute amounts by observing the graduated markings on the outside of the drum. I do like it and have loaded thousands of loads with it. I used it last night as a matter of fact to measure 4.7 gr of HP-38. Dialed it in, measured and weighed 5 charges in a row to verify. Charged 5 cases, weighed the next, charged 10 weighed the next. All dead on. Like I said getting it set up is key and it is funky. |

I have the exact same experience... With some minor finishing I am able to throw H110 on my Lee Auto Disk with no leak and very accurate throws.
Hope that helps Quoted:
