I picked some (guy left it for me) 5.56x45 brass that I haven't seen before.
Head stamp has. PSD or PSO (I can't tell if it's a "D" or a "O" they are "12"s and have red sealant around the primer. Does anyone know manufacturer/source and how are they to reload? Thanks, Motor |
| This thread at IAA might help. Their consensus was that the cases were "Independence" branded rounds, made in Israel, and the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock digits were similar to the "dots" used on Lake City brass to identify the machine/position the case was processed on. |

I have PMC marked brass, but it was PMC Bronze. |

PSD is essentially Korean (PMC) stuff with 55gr bullet.. I finding that stuff lately at Fish & Game here..
The FC with the additional digits,, I have a bunch of that too.. the extra numbers seem to make sense for a production date maybe,, I think that makes maybe 3 or 4 FC type headstamps I've seen the last couple year |

Yes, PSD is the military side of PMC (South Korean), and used n XTAC ammo.
One of my preferred headstamps for .223/5.56*45 loads. The primer crimp is the toughest I've come across, had to use Lee Universal Decapper to get primers out. The FC with year data at 6 o'clock and additional number at 3 and 9 o'clock is Israeli made ammo. Federal ships the components over to Israel which puts them all together, then ships live ammo back. Somehow it's cheaper for Federal to do this. Haven't used this headstamp, previous problems with FC .223 Rem headstamp have left me leery of using any Federal rifle brass, love their pistol brass though. |

I think tge FC with the additional numbers is IMI made, as their brass has the same bumbers. I think they supplied it for Federal during the last panic. That seems to be the case. From what I gather, the numbers are IMI's version of the dots Lake City machinery applies to case heads. |
