Got sick of my little 40 case loading blocks so I made one a little bigger. Now I can do some high volume lubing and sizing

This is what I am using the loading blocks for, but always have more than 80 cases to do at a time.

Yup.   Now that's a loading block!!!!!!!

If I counted correctly, that block holds 324 cases, correct?

What's it made of?  Scrap something or a plastic block with drilled holes?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, was going to go for 400 but it would have made very thin walls.

I got a 12x12x 3/4 piece of HDPE from Amazon for $19 then I cheated and made a program for one of my mills to make the pockets.

I'm jealous.  I use old pistol ammo trays (blocks of 50).  I find doing a few and finding something else to do helps me keep my sanity.  300+ rounds of weighing each charge would put me in a coma.

I think I am with Twitchy on this one. I like batch work

Yeah I just use loading blocks to lube cases(spray with OneShot) I load in the progressive. Cases in a loading block is how you properly lube with OneShot

I admit it, I'm lazy.  After tumbling them clean, my pistol brass goes into one of my pretzel kegs until I'm ready to reload them so I have no need for a block like that.  Then I just dump them into the casefeeder and reload away.  No trickling and/or lubing straight walled pistol brass (38spl, 357mag, 40s&w, 10mm, 45acp, 45 Super, or 45 Colt) for me.  Even my 357mag and 45 Colt loads that I shoot long range in my leverguns are just run through my 650 after cleaning.

This is for my .308 cases only and for lubing only. Although I may put in a pocket for .223 later just go deeper in the same pocket.

Now that makes sense to me.  First, I thought your picture looked like necked brass rather than 40s&w but what do I know.  Second, you are into the precision, long range, shooting so it makes sense to have that.

BTW, is that your personal milling machine or do you have ready access to one?

No it isn't mine personally, I am the milling department at my job, I have 4 at my disposal. Being the only person to do programming/set-up/fixture building/design/and production I don't really get much time(or desire anymore) to do personal stuff unless it a quicky thing like this once in a while.

Not for OneShot. This method is how I can use OneSHot for nearly 20 years as my only rifle case lube without any issues with stuck cases or sizing inconsistencies or mess.

The one think I hate about one shot is the damn smell. But I still use the hell out of it.

Not many fans of one shot lube.

Hell I like the other one shot stuff too (dry lube)

I got a 12x12x 3/4 piece of HDPE from Amazon for $19 then I cheated and made a program for one of my mills to make the pockets.

Not cheating.  Work smarter, not harder
