Hey guys, just prepped a batch of cases.
I'm running 23.5gr of H322 under hornady 52gr hpbt.
The seating depth from sierra guide is coal 2.250

This depth only the width of the bullet is in the case.  I run 55gr fmjbt at 2.22 coal(set to mid point of cannelure)  Should I seat these 52gr deeper?

You can seat them deeper. I usually seat to just below magazine length (about 2.24) unless loading FMJ with cannelure. Then I seat to that. A rule of thumb I heard was 1 diameter of the bullet in the case.

Maybe use the Hornady Manual rather than the Sierra Manual.

I appreciate the above info.
I was given 500 of these pills.  Don't want to buy a book for one load honestly.  I have all my info for the loads I use already from my lee book.

Hornady 9 says use an OAL of 2.230.

This bullet is too short for 2.250 and have good neck tension.

I ended up going with 2.24 for overall length.

Might want to try shooting a few first before loading up all 500.
