Quickload: For example, low velocity .223 loads to mirror .22 hornet. I know there are loads out there for bluedot, and 2400, but these are not published and I was wanting to know if there are other options like Longshot, etc... Will this program help, or is this the road to multiple piercings in the face and mouth area. |

Quickload contains a mathmatical representation of the burning characteristics of most powders and the physical characteristics of most bullets. You can assemble them in any way you want, specify the powder charge, and QL will give you it's estimate of pressure, velocity and other relevant info.
IME, it will not match what your firearm will deliver with those loads as measured over a chrono without tuning the burning characteristics (which you can do) to match the results you actually obtain from your rifle. However, it can get you close, especially if you are working below the published ranges for your components. A chrono might be a better investment for your purposes. |
