The issue that I'm having is that when I'm using the auto trickle function, instead of being able to just place the pan back on the platen and it start the next charge, I have to lift the

platen up off the load cell a little, then sit it back down. If I just put the pan back, it does nothing.

Also, I'm not using the original powder pan (but to the best of my recollection, this was a problem with the original pan, too).

Anybody have any knowledge on what's going on here, or experienced the same thing?

Not had that problem yet.  It sounds like maybe there are some fugitive powder grains down inside the recess for the platen stem.  Remove cal weights, plastic door, and power connector.  Drain all the powder.  Turn the unit upside down, tap on the case, and swirl a small clean Q-Tip up inside the hole.  See if any dirt or grains come out.  Clean the bottom of the platen good before reassembly.

Weird,

Once the scale reaches zero and stable it should dispense again when in auto mode.
