| Looking into getting a case trimmer, and they all look pretty similar. Any suggestions for a particular model? |

First, you have to decide what you expect out of it. There are cheap trimmer heads that can be powered by your drill / drillpress such as the Possum Hollow trimmer, then there are 'brass processing stations', then there are higher end trimmers like the Giraud and Dillon. Each has it's advantages and disadvantages considering price, durability, ease of use, capabilities, etc. No one can recommend one for you before you sit down, compare the features of the different types, consider what you want, and then spell out your priorities. |
| I've been more than satisfied with my Forster Original case trimmer. Only thing about it that may apply for you is that there are different length bases and if you load any magnum length cases you'll need to get the longer base as an accessory. You can get other accessories for it also such as an outside neck turner or reamers. Great manual trimmer and mine has trimmed many thousands of cases. |
| Ive been reloading for anly 4 years now... and from what ive learned/gathered over time is; powered is the way to go. WTF trimmer is awesome. I have the Lyman vase trimmer with power tool accessory. I also have Lyman case prep center. While the prep center saves ALOT of time, I found the bits in a drill is even more quicker. Hence why I now use the WTF trimmer. |
